Last Saturday Derby struggled to beat Forest Green in the FA Cup but with four minutes to go took the lead for the first time in a game that saw seven goals! Derby went 2 nil down, before pulling the score back, but conceded again before finally winning 4-3. Phew! We've drawn Nottingham Forest in the next round and play them on the 23rd January 2009!
There is more big news as we have a new manager. Nigel Clough has been appointed to the position. His Daddy Brian was a manager of Derby along time ago. Nigel Clough as been the Manager of Burton Albion for ten years so it'll be interesting to see what he can do.
Yesterday, Mummy, Daddy and me went to Derby to stay with Gran (G) and Grandpa. Daddy had a ticket for the Carling Cup Semi-Final against Manchester (the-greatest-team-in-the-world) United. Daddy says it was a really good game and we won 1-0! WE WON WE WON WE WON WE WON WE WON WE WON WE WON ! Does that make us the greatest team in the world now? I know we'll probably get gubbed at Old Trafford on the 20th Jan - but WE WON! Just in case you didn't know - Derby County 1 - Man Utd 0!
