Parks, Picnics, Pooh-sticks and Play

Today was the first day when we have not been busy for a while and with Mummy and Daddy both off work it was officially a 'play-day' and play we did. Mummy packed us up a great picnic and we headed for Rouken Glen - a huge, fab park. The weather was warm and sticky and we found a nice spot to eat our picnic. Then we went for a walk through the trees and by the stream. There was lots of bridges to cross and Daddy taught me a game called "Pooh-Sticks" and it's not rude or anything. What you do is drop a stick from a bridge and then look for it coming out the other side! It works good with a leaf, but it doesn't work with stones at all. Then We had a walk around the boating lake, fed the ducks and we had an ice-cream and then I played on the park. What a lovely day!

Park-Life!

I've been to the park lots in the last few days as the weather has been lovely. I went to Drumpellier Park on Sunday with Mummy and Lottie and Gillian when Daddy was at work. On Monday I went to the Strathclyde Park with Mummy and Daddy and Lottie and we walked all the way round it - except I went in the buggy after a bit as it's over 4 miles. We were all pooped when we got home! Yesterday I went to Drumpellier with just Daddy and we had an ice-cream from the Lolly-van and then we went again today but we took Mummy and Lottie too.

Yesterday I saw a frog for the first time and today we saw lots and lots of them jumping on the path. I touched a froggy today that Daddy had in his hand. We tried to take a picture but they are only very very tiny so it was very difficult. There were lots of squashed ones on the path, but it with them hopping all around it was very difficult not to step on them - we tried to be careful.

Today I also had a play on the park. It had been closed for a little while whilst some men were making it newer. This is my favourite slide - it's like made of rollers which bounce your bum when you go down it. I think it is Mummy's favourite slide too.

Mr Kipling Jr

I've had a busy couple of days since chillin' on Monday. On Tuesday me and Mummy had to wait in the house as the Gas man was coming to check the boiler and the cooker and the Sky man was coming to bring Daddy his new Sky+ box. They came and then I helped Mummy with some baking. We made a chocolate cake and some muffins! Making cakes is messy, but Mummy makes exceedingly good cakes. We then went for coffee at one of friends house from Mummy's and Toddlers. I went to Auntie Rita's on Tuesday night for dinner and it was lovely. I can't remember what I did on Wednesday - but I think I was busy. On Wednesday night, I went to the park with Daddy - it was very windy! I saw lots of Uffs (doggies) and one was chasing a ball. Today I went to see Gran and then Daddy and me went for a coffee in Starbucks. It's no wonder I'm sleeping well at nights - I'm shattered!

Park-life

Today has been a lovely day. Mummy and me went to Parents and Toddlers this morning and Daddy went to the gym and this afternoon, because it was lovely weather, we all went to the park. It was a new park that I haven't been too before and there were lots of animals to see. I saw sheeps and goats and I saw piggies who were all sleeping in a row until there was a piggy fight because one piggy didn't want to sleep on the end and tried to snuggle in the middle - he wanted to be piggy in the middle! (ha! ha! ha!)

I saw chickens and pea fowl and rabbits and a little cow called a Zebu who was very friendly. After I saw the animals I played on the park. I like the slide the best today. Then I had some of Mummy's cheese toastie and some of Daddy's Quavers and a yogurt for lunch.
Then after lunch we went on a tree walk. There was a path that was built off the ground and we walked through the tree-tops. I saw some birdies, but I didn't see any other animals. Daddy said he saw some monkeys in the trees, but I didn't see them. He said he had even got a photo of them.

10 months old and too busy to Blog

I've been saying it all year, but I've become really bad at blogging, sorry. I'm 10 months old and my life is so busy! I was so tired the other day I even fell asleep at the park whilst on the swings - how embarrassing! - and of course Daddy was there with his camera to capture the moment. The next few postings should be a bit of a catch up.

Going to the Park!

I love going to the park! Daddy came home from work and took Mummy and me to the park on Sunday. It was such a warm day and there were loads of people also enjoying the park, people riding bikes, fishing and walking their doggies. I walked for a little around the loch but Daddy and Mummy carried me most of the way. I get a better view from being higher up. The best bit was when we got to the cafe and had a drink and some ice-cream and I had a banana and a biscuit - the park makes me hungry. I do like the park and really didn't want to leave - Daddy had to drag me away!
