Happy Birthweek Lottie - for yesterday!

Happy Birthday to my little sister Lottie! Have a few drinks on me! Lottie has had a Birthweek instead of a Birthday. It all started a week ago when Grandpa and Gran came to visit. They arrived to stay with us last Friday and I was very excited to see them. We then had our first party of the week and Gran and Papa and Auntie Rita and Uncle Ian and Liam came and we had food and birthday cakes. It was great.
On Saturday I took Gran and Grandpa and Mummy and Daddy and Lottie to Sealife in Loch Lomond. We went in Grandpa's big huge car and Daddy and me sat on the back-back seat! It was nice to see all the fish, there are some funny ones. It was also funny watching Grandpa feed Lottie as every time he gave Lottie a mouthful of yogurt, his tongue kept sticking out!

On Saturday night we had party number 2 and my cousins Robbie, Dylan and Liam and my Uncle David and Auntie Cat came and we had a lovely time. Lottie had some lovely presents that I tried out for her. We had some more food and more cake.
Then on Sunday we had a lazy morning before Gran and Grandpa took us to Nandos for lunch, then they had to go home. After that Lottie and me and Daddy had a poorly week and Lottie and me were very snotty.

Then yesterday, Lottie's proper birthday, Uncle 'Ickle Kevin and Auntie Gillian came to play. We went to Drumpellier Park and then had a KFC - "Ach, I hate the Colonel with his wee beady eyes and his smug grin on his face "Ach - you're gonna buy my chicken" Why? Because he puts an addictive chemical in his chicken that makes you grave it fortnightly smarties!" Daddy says that every time we see a KFC - I think it's from a film. Well, Happy Birthweek Lottie - it's mine next (after Auntie Tor's, Daddy's, Gran's...)

Happy Birthday Papa!

Today is my Papa's birthday - Happy birthday Papa. I got up late this morning after my busy day yesterday at Funky Monkey's and swimming. I didn't get up until 9.30! This meant then that I had lots to do because Gran and Papa were coming round for a birthday lunch. I helped Daddy put the crisps in bowls and also the sweeties in bowls and I helped by testing that they tasted OK, which after I few trys, I think they did. We had a real feast. We had chicken nuggets and cakes and hammy sandwiches and cola. Gran and Papa stayed all afternoon and we had a lovely time. We also had a cake with smarties on it! Happy Birthday Papa!

Fun Things to do Indoors

With the nights getting colder and darker way before bedtime and it no longer being weather to go out to the Sandy-Park I thought I'd give you some suggestions on things you can do that are still fun even though you may be stuck at home. My first suggestion is DANCING! clear away your toys, get as many people as you can to dance and get some good tunes on the ipod dock - and don't forget to have the potty close by - all that jigging can make you want to pee-pee! My favourite tunes at the moment are "Honey, Honey" from the film Mamma Mia, "I guess you could say" by Middle Class Rut and "The World is all there" by Fools Gold, oh and I still like Mika's "Lollipop". Uncle 'Ickle Kevin, Daddy and me were really pulling off the moves the other night!

Or if Dancing is not your thing, get your daddy to get out DADDY'S TOYS. I have come to discover that Daddy's Toys are always better than boy's toys. My Daddy has some cool things that I'm only allowed to play with when he's around. He has some big boy's Lego (which, strangely, is smaller than little boy's Lego) and we have had some fun building boats and cars and ambulances and planes. You have to concentrate hard when you are playing with it as it's a bit fiddly, but it burns away the hours after dinner and before bedtime.

My last suggestion is to get Mummy and Daddy to take you SOMEWHERE ELSE that is indoors. I like swimming, but my favourite place is Happy Days! Mummy and Daddy and Lottie and me went on Monday afternoon.

I like going down the big chutes and so does my Poppy-Doggy - this is Poppy-Doggy coming down the chute by herself. Anyone can go down the chutes and bounce on the trampolines. A few weeks ago I took Granny and Grandpa and even they liked going down the chutes. Granny was the fastest in her smooth and speedy trousers. We had a great time on Monday - we even had some tea at Happy Days. As we were going to the car though Mummy was very naughty. Mummy didn't stop at the curb and just walked out onto the road. I told her off all the way to Gran and Papa's house as she was a baddie and it was a busy road.

Trains, Trams and Adventure Sticks

Yesterday I went with Daddy on the train into town to meet Granny's cousin's son James and his friend Callum. They were arriving on a big train from London and are staying for the week in Scotland. Last night they stayed at my house. We went out to Nandos for dinner then we played a little, then we went to bed, then they got up for breakfast and then they left.
This week I've also seen Michelle and Mia but other than that it's been a little quiet.
Today I went to Summerlee for a ride on the trams and I had a go on both the orange one and the green one. We met Gran (N) and Papa and Gran's friend's Lynda and Peter and had a cup of tea and a cake with them. I also got to make a decorated adventure stick. Daddy had to help me decorate the stick and Mummy had to help me thread some beads for the top. It was only £1 to do and a lot of fun. An adventure stick is great too as I've already discovered that it can be used as a walking stick, a light-saber and a horse. You can also poke oldie people with it too, but Daddy wouldn't let me (for a change!).

What a week!

I've had a really busy week since I've been home from my holidays as Daddy has still been off work and so we have had lots and lots of play days. On Thursday Mummy and Daddy and Lottie and me had a few bits and bobs to do in the big town and we thought it would be fun to travel on the big train again. I really like going on the train as there is so much to see.
On Friday I went to a place in Rutherglen to do some pot painting. Mummy, Lottie, Daddy and me met Gran, Papa and Liam there. I painted a train, Mummy and Daddy painted things for Uncle 'Ickle Kevin and Auntie Love-Leigh, Liam painted a monster and Gran painted a fairy.
On Saturday we had to do a big shop, but we stopped before we got to the frozen stuff as a lady said we could go to the new library and see some animals. I touched a bunny and a guinea pig and I stroked a hen and had a duck on my knee. I touched a snake that Daddy then wore as a scarf around his neck. I held a cockroach and mouse which was cheeky and tried to go up my sleeve and a Gecko lizard.
I stroked a torty and two bearded dragons and I saw a scorpion and a tarantula which is a big, big, big incy-wincy spider but I wasn't allowed to touch them as they are venomous! I even stroked a big lizard thing called Iggy who is an Iguana. Later in the afternoon Katherine came round and we went out and then she came for dinner at our house.
Today I went to my friend Kathryn's birthday party and she will be five - I even got a kiss from the birthday girl! There was a clown at the party and he was very funny and did games and tricks and made me a balloon sword. It was a good party as I also saw my friend Hannah and my girlfriend Amy and her brother Lewis was there. Daddy goes back to work tomorrow and I have to go back to nursery play group school. I'll be glad of the rest I think!

Fair Enough

Hey guess what! After a busy day today shopping with my Mummy and Sister and Gran (N) and Papa and after a little sleep this afternoon my Daddy came home from work. He was very excited and told us that we had to get ready as we were going to the Fair. I've never been to a Fair before but if Daddy is excited then I get excited too. Fairs are great. Daddy and me got to go on a choo choo that looked like Thomas the Tank engine. I went on a yellow carriage and waved to Mummy and Charlotte - Daddy got to ride for free! We had a walk round the fair and there was lots to see.
Then we went to a stall where a man gave me a really long fishing pole and I had to catch a fish that looked like Nemo. Guess what ! I caught a fish - not Mummy or Daddy but me! The man then let me choose a prize as I had won and I chose a doggy and called him Choo Choo.
Then I went on another ride where I could have driven a helicopter or a fire engine, but I chose to ride an animal and again Daddy got on for free - no wonder he likes fairs! Then we had some doughnuts which were lovely and warm and then we had some candy floss which tastes funny and then it was time to go home.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day Mummy and Granny (G) and Gran (N)! I've had a fun filled weekend socialising and stuff. On Saturday morning Daddy and me went shopping for another present for Mummy for Mother's Day. He also got me a cake at Starbucks which was lovely. Then for lunch we went to Katherine's house. I had a lovely time and such a lovely lunch. We didn't leave her house until 7.00! Then in the car Mummy and Daddy decided that we would go to Nandos for dinner so went back and invited Katherine to come with us!
Today I went to church with Mummy and Daddy. I was a really big boy and went into the creche all by myself. After church we went to see Gran (N) and Papa and we stayed for tea.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUMMY!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUMMY! Today is my Mummy's birthday and we have had a very lovely day. This morning Mummy and me went to the Fort with Gran (N) and did a little shopping and a little coffee-ing. We also bumped into Daddy at the Fort who was working and just happened to be there! Then we all went to Auntie Rita's for lunch and I had a bag of crisps. When Daddy came home from work we gave Mummy her cards and presents. Daddy and I clubbed together to get Mummy her presents this year. We got her a digital camera of her very own and it's red and little but it takes good photos. I also got her a case for it that is a tripod on the bottom and a bottle of 'Momspit' cleaner for when we are out. I think Mummy like her presents. Then Daddy took us all out for tea to the Springcroft. I had chicken nuggets and chips and Mummy had a cheeseburger and Daddy had a mixed grill. I tried everyone's food as well as my own. Then we had ice-cream for afters and Mummy had treacle pudding with custard and then we came home to watch Mary Poppins! What a lovely day!!! Happy Birthday Mummy!

Pool with no water?

This week has been such a busy week as Mummy has been working nights and Daddy has been working days.
On Monday I popped in to Parents and Toddlers with Mummy and then spent some time with Gran (N). I was still awake when Daddy came home from work and he needed some dinner so I stayed up until 11.30 and watched the ice hockey and ate Quavers. Then Daddy and I went to bed.
On Tuesday I spent the morning with Gran, I saw Mummy only briefly before Daddy and I went on an adventure. We were going to a youth club in Glenrothes where my girlfriend Amy lives. I didn't see Amy, but I did see her Mummy. Daddy and I stopped for a McDonald's on the way and then I got to play with some big children and some really big children. My friend Callum tried to teach me to play pool, but it was rubbish as there wasn't even any water! I had a nice time though, but I was shattered and fell asleep in the car on the way home and don't even remember how I got into bed.
On Wednesday, Daddy and me went swimming and I was really jumping in from the side of the pool - this time with water. Then I went to Grans again until Daddy picked me back up from work. What a busy week!

My new Nikes

Had a week so far that's been kinda ticking along. On Tuesday morning I went to the swimming pool with my Daddy. It was quite busy as all the big children were off school, but it was still lots of fun. Two little girls let me play with their ball with them which was nice. Tuesday afternoon I spent in the house with Mummy and we both slept a bit and played a bit.
On Wednesday I went out for lunch with Gran(N) and Liam. We went to McDonalds and I had a Happy meal. Then when Daddy picked me up after he'd been at work we went to the Fort and we had a coffee with Ann Marie, one of Daddy's friends. We then went shopping for some new trainers for me as the ones I had were getting too small. I finally found a pair that I liked and that they had in my size. Do you like them?

Making my bedroom NEW!

I've had a busy couple of days. My Mummy and Daddy have been helping me to make my bedroom brand new. We started yesterday by taking my bed and other things out of my room and then we had to paint the walls. My room had two walls blue and two walls in pink! I think Mummy and Daddy were edging their bets on whether I would be a boy or a girl. The paint I got this time was blue and blue. I have 'sea blue' on the wall with my window and a little on my big wall and I have 'lost lake' which is a darker blue on my wall with my door and the wall next to it. Then whilst Mummy and Daddy were finishing off the painting I went to Grans. Mummy and Daddy also had to get me some new furniture for me from IKEA.

Today I got my Daddy to start the wall papering but I asked Papa to come and start him off as Daddy was a bit scared in case he made a mistake. Once Papa had started Daddy off on the right track, Daddy and Gran(N) did a great job finishing it off. I just supervised today. I think baby's and toddlers should get involved in painting, but to let us try wall papering - well that would just be silly! I now have a football stadium scene in my bedroom - how cool is that! Daddy is just waiting for Uncle 'Ickle Kevin to come round and help him colour in the players. I might make it a scene from a historic game. I was thinking about the World Cup Final of 1966, but I saw it on the telly and that was in the days without colour, so I might go for a great victory from a couple of weeks ago - Derby County 1 - Nottingham Forest 0!

Not the most exciting weekend

Hmmm. I haven't done a lot this weekend really. Mummy and Daddy were off work together on Friday and apparently we went shopping in the big town, but I was asleep most of the morning and only woke up to get a sausage roll for my lunch. On Friday we also popped in to see Gran(N) and Papa and then we went to the Fort as Daddy wanted to buy a t-shirt that he had seen the night before.
On Saturday Mummy and Daddy both went back to work. Daddy picked me up from Gran's house and we went food shopping before going home to cook Mummy some food. I had a play with my toy cars. I like shopping with Daddy as he buys nice food. I had potato waffles and chicken nuggets for tea then I had a little chocolate egg that Daddy got for me.
Today was again a working day. I emptied my toy chest this morning and played with some toys from there before going to see Gran(N) and Papa. The next few days are worky days too, although we also have to buy paint as on Wednesday we are decorating my bedroom!

Happy Birthday Robbie!!!

Today is my cousin Robbie's Birthday. He's so cool. Yesterday, I went to his birthday party with my Mummy. Daddy couldn't come as he was at work. Happy Birthday Robbie!!! Today was a lovely and busy day. This morning I went to Parents and Toddlers with my Mummy and it was good as we sang songs and I played. Then I came home for some lunch - lovely pea and ham soup - and then Daddy and Mummy took me swimming. It was great! I jumped in from the side standing, slid in from sitting down (forwards and backwards!), and I even tried to slide in head first. I also splashed Mummy lots and lots. Then my friend Bobby (who went to summer school with me) got me the slide out. He's a life guard at the pool and he got the slide especially for me. I loved going down it with my hands in the air. When I got home I was so tired that I had to have a little sleep for a long time.
Yesterday I went to Gran and Papa's Salvation Army. It was nice to Auntie Rita and Liam there too. We went there because two lovely people called David and Florence were leading the service. They looked after Daddy when he first moved to Scotland.
Saturday night I was at another party with Mummy and her friend Joyce. Daddy was working again so missed out again. Poor Daddy. The party was great. I played with a little boy and a balloon and a bouncy ball. No wonder I'm tired!

Feeling a little tents!

I've had busy few days and I have been feeling a little tense - get it? - a little tents. My wigwam was one of my Christmas present from my Auntie Tor and Uncle Chris (N) and Tasha and Bebe and I hide in it when Daddy chases me. The England strip was a present from my Daddy. Anyway, back to my busy days. Monday was a worky day - Mummy was at work and Daddy had to do a late shift so after a morning with him I went to see Gran (N) and Papa. On Tuesday I spent the day with Auntie Rita as we had our new windows being put in at my house. They look lovely and I now have a choice of whether I change bedrooms or not - and I can't decide. Mummy and Daddy also had to drop Daddy's car in so that it was ready for it's MOT today. Today Mummy and Daddy were both off, but I didn't sleep well last night as I'm a bit snotty. Last night Daddy and me ended up watching Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Santa Buddies from 1.30am to 5.00am - then I fell asleep. We had to go and see the mid-wife this afternoon but I cried when we got into the room and Daddy had to take me out. I remember the jags they gave me last time and feared they were going to do it again. It was all OK in the end and everything is good with Mummy and Bump II. We still have icy snow just like when Granny and Grandpa visited at Christmas time, but there was no time for sledging today as we had to go to Mummy's school, the big shops and then pick the car up before going home for tea.

Christmas is coming!

Christmas is coming - there's only 37 more sleeps! I've been spending some time trying out some things that I might add to my Christmas list. I did like this bike, but to be honest I think it's a little too big for me this year. Mummy and Daddy say that I'm going to be lucky to get any presents as I've become a little naughty this week. I've spent more time in the 'naughty corner' than I have anywhere else!
My busy week continued last week. Friday was very good though as I had a surprise see of Gran (G) and Grandpa. They were staying for a holiday in a big hotel in the middle of Scotland and Mummy, Daddy and me went to spend an afternoon with them. Gran and Grandpa got me a penny whistle as a present and I love it.
I spent most of the weekend with Gran (N) and Papa as Mummy and Daddy were working and Daddy also went out with some of his work friends to see a band called Alabama 3. Monday and Tuesday were again worky days - although we did do some more Christmas list looking on Monday night.
Today Mummy was at her college placement so Daddy and I waited for her in town and had coffee with Auntie Jen and Uncle Paul. I saw lots and lots of buses and also some very pretty Christmas lights. We then went out to Wagamama for dinner and I had a some off Daddy's noodles and Mummy's rice.

Oo, Ah, Ee!

What a busy week! Monday and Tuesday were busy working days so I didn't do a lot with Mummy and Daddy other than catch up with a little television watching. Daddy and I hadn't had chance to watch Soccer AM on Saturday so we spent some time watching that followed by Match of the Day. We were going to watch The Football League Show, but Daddy couldn't bring himself to watch it after Derby lost at the weekend. We finally saw it today through gritted teeth and we were robbed! On Monday night we became a "Foster family". We have given a home to a doggy called Snowy who has had to come and stay with us for a little while. His owner is staying at my Daddy's work and Snowy needed to find some where to live. Snowy is a nice doggy although I was a little nervous of her when I first met her.
I like taking Snowy for walks at night although she is very strong and I have to run when I'm holding her lead. She is a quiet doggy and very well behaved most of the time, although she did do some wees and poos on the floor when she first moved in but she now does them in the garden instead. The only thing I don't like is that when we play ball she won't give me it back after I've thrown it - I get very frustrated when she does this. Snowy has a bed under the table, but often sleeps on the landing. I like pretending to be a doggy now and I crawl around and sit under the table where Snowy should be.
Yesterday Mummy, Daddy and me went shopping. Daddy needed to get a suit as we are going to two weddings soon. Uncle David is getting married to Auntie Cat in a two weeks then a few weeks after that Daddy's Cousin Emma is getting married.
We went for lunch at Pizza Hut and I was a hungry boy and ate lots and lots. We then went home, had a play, then took Daddy to the Dentist and went to Tesco. I played so much when I got home that I was all hot and sweaty so after my dinner Daddy gave me a bath. We soaked the bathroom!
Today Gran came out with Mummy, Daddy and me and we went to a garden centre for lunch. We had a lovely time sniffing the flowers. Then later this afternoon Daddy took me swimming and today I did something new - I blew bubbles with my face in the water. The waterfall and slides are still my favourite though.

Coffee, Coffee, Coffee!

The last few days have been great! On Tuesday I was at Gran (N) and Papa's house as Mummy and Daddy were at work and you'll never guess who came for coffee - Gran (G) and Grandpa! All the way from a long way-a-way. I didn't know they were coming and I wasn't expecting to see them. They came and visited for a few days. Yesterday they came and played at my house and had dinner with us and then today we spent the whole day together. We went to the People's Palace and then to Starbucks for coffee!
I'm going to be busy for the next week, so I may not be able to blog. I'm telling you in advance so you don't think I'm just slacking again. I'm actually going to be busy at a Music School. It'll be early mornings and late nights so I may be hitting the coffee again! I let you know how I get on.

Mr Kipling Jr

I've had a busy couple of days since chillin' on Monday. On Tuesday me and Mummy had to wait in the house as the Gas man was coming to check the boiler and the cooker and the Sky man was coming to bring Daddy his new Sky+ box. They came and then I helped Mummy with some baking. We made a chocolate cake and some muffins! Making cakes is messy, but Mummy makes exceedingly good cakes. We then went for coffee at one of friends house from Mummy's and Toddlers. I went to Auntie Rita's on Tuesday night for dinner and it was lovely. I can't remember what I did on Wednesday - but I think I was busy. On Wednesday night, I went to the park with Daddy - it was very windy! I saw lots of Uffs (doggies) and one was chasing a ball. Today I went to see Gran and then Daddy and me went for a coffee in Starbucks. It's no wonder I'm sleeping well at nights - I'm shattered!

Car troubles

It's still quite snowy and a little bit icy. On Tuesday I went to spend the day with Gran (N) as Mummy and Daddy were at work. When Daddy picked me up after work I went home, had some toast, then we went to visit Daddy's work as he needed to drop a letter off. I met Nan and Angela who Daddy works with and they were very nice. By the time we got home, Mummy had finished work and she brought with her some Chinese food - it was fantastic! Yesterday was funny. Mummy's car alarm started to go off when she started the car. It hasn't worked for years and Mummy has lost her special key to turn it off. It does go off after a minute, although I pretended to be asleep when we had to get in the car at 6.15am as it's a little embarrassing! Last night Uncle Gordon and Auntie Fiona came to watch the football. We had fun but the football was pants! Today it was Daddy's car's turn to break down. He had to get a man to come and fix it and it is at the garage. It was nice though as it meant Mummy came home from work early and we got to spend the day together. Tonight was bath night too - it's still my favourite!

Weekend Catch-up!

Wow! What a busy few days. On Friday night Mummy and me went to see some of Mummy's friends. We went to see Sharon, Joyce, Lorna. Josie, Sharon (another one). Uncle Gordon came to our house to see Daddy and I saw him before I left and when I got back. He bought me the biggest balloon I've ever seen in my entire life! It has pictures of Tigger, Piglet and Winnie the Pooh on it. On Saturday we had a busy day doing little jobs - I kept falling asleep in the car and waking up somewhere different! At night time we went to Auntie Rita's house. Gran and Papa and Liam were there too and it was lovely to see them.

On Sunday morning Mummy, Daddy and me went to church - I took my tambourine and got to play it once. At night we went to church again and Daddy was leading the service. I got to play my tambourine lots as all the songs were loud! He even got me up on the platform - I "high-fived" him, but I left all the talking to him.
