Saturdays are great!

Mummy was working AGAIN this weekend, so on Saturday morning I decided to give Daddy a break after a hard week at work and I took on some of the 'Mummy and Daddy' jobs with Lottie. I read her a story about Zigby the Zebra and his friends Bertie and McMeer. Daddy reads this book to me and I think that she liked it. I then sang some songs with her and played a game where we had to pretend to be asleep and then clap very very fast when we were awake. Lottie and I both liked that game.

Then, as Mummy and Daddy do this a lot, I gave Lottie lots of kisses and cuddles. I'm not sure she enjoyed this as much as the book and the singing and the game, but it's all part of life. I was quite glad when Auntie Rita arrived at 10.00am to take us to Funky Monkeys! It's very tiring being a Mummy and Daddy.

I also went to visit Gran on Saturday and then Daddy took me to the ice hockey. I had a seat right next to the penalty box and had a really good time. Uncle Gordon was up from Londaon and he sat with us for the 2nd period. It was nice to see him. The Clan beat Edinburgh Capitals 7 - 1! I sang and danced for the 3rd period and entertained everyone near me, including the penalty box man who gave me a high-five from the other side of the glass and a hockey puck from the game! I didn't get home until late-O'clock so went straight to bed!

Strange things are happening!

Last night both Mummy and Daddy were working, so Auntie Rita and Uncle Ian came to play and look after me and Lottie. We watched a film and had some marshymellows and a little play and we had a lovely time and I was a very good boy and went to bed good and slept all night long.

When I woke up this morning, both Mummy and Daddy were home. Daddy said that something had happened in the lounge and when I went downstairs I discovered my house had been invaded by 28 new dinosaurs. A nice lady at Daddy's work had sent them for me. I wasted no time in making them feel at home and I introduced them to the dinosaurs Santa brought me at Christmas. I keep asking Daddy what their names are. Daddy knows the names of a lot of dinosaurs, like the triceratops and the brontosaurus and the stegosaurus, but I think he was also making some up, like the flappyfinasaurs and then he was getting really desperate with the one named Frankosaurus. He told me a joke too. "What do you call a one-eyed dinosaur? A do-you-think-he-saw-us! I laughed to be polite.
Thank you for my dinosaurs nice lady at Daddy's work.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUMMY!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUMMY! Today is my Mummy's birthday and we have had a very lovely day. This morning Mummy and me went to the Fort with Gran (N) and did a little shopping and a little coffee-ing. We also bumped into Daddy at the Fort who was working and just happened to be there! Then we all went to Auntie Rita's for lunch and I had a bag of crisps. When Daddy came home from work we gave Mummy her cards and presents. Daddy and I clubbed together to get Mummy her presents this year. We got her a digital camera of her very own and it's red and little but it takes good photos. I also got her a case for it that is a tripod on the bottom and a bottle of 'Momspit' cleaner for when we are out. I think Mummy like her presents. Then Daddy took us all out for tea to the Springcroft. I had chicken nuggets and chips and Mummy had a cheeseburger and Daddy had a mixed grill. I tried everyone's food as well as my own. Then we had ice-cream for afters and Mummy had treacle pudding with custard and then we came home to watch Mary Poppins! What a lovely day!!! Happy Birthday Mummy!

Where's the week gone?

I've not been quite myself today, I think I'm a little poorly. My co-ordination has gone well pear-shaped and I've grazed my nose again when I took a little tumble and I spilt all my milk when I was out for lunch with Mummy and Daddy. Other than that I've had a lovely and busy day today. Daddy was off work and so Mummy and me and Daddy went to Byres Road to have a look round the shops and to get Gran(N) her Mother's Day present. I had the best view of looking around as I got to ride on Daddy's shoulders. Daddy then took to a Tapas Bar for lunch. Mummy liked the food a lot, but I wasn't hungry as I think I'm poorly.
After Lunch I had a snooze, Mummy had a snooze, and Daddy went to the dentist. Then we went shopping at the Fort as we need to get Granny's (G) Mother's Day present. We also went for coffee and cake in Starbucks!
Yesterday I went to church in the morning with Mummy and Daddy and then we went to Auntie Rita's at night and had dinner there as Daddy needed to help Uncle Ian with re-building bunk-beds.
When I woke up on Saturday morning Daddy wasn't at home. He had to go to work in the middle of the night so came home after I had my breakfast - how weird is that? I played with Daddy and Mummy a little in the morning the Auntie Rita arrived in a van to swap us a single bed for our bunk-beds that used to be in the bedroom that is now mine. I then went with Mummy to help decorate Auntie Rita's spare bedroom. Daddy stayed at home because he needed a sleep. Mummy and me didn't get home until late on Saturday night and I feel asleep curled up next to Daddy on the sofa.
I can't remember what I did the rest of last week... it can't be that interesting. I did find this photo of me and Mummy last summer - it's nice isn't it?

Making my bedroom NEW - 2

My newly decorated bedroom needed brand new furniture so Mummy and Daddy got me a brand new wardrobe and a brand new unit. Daddy very cleverly made it up whilst I was sleeping today and I didn't even wake up when he was banging about. After my sleep I thought it was best to check what Daddy had been doing and couldn't believe he had finished. I thought it was best to check my new furniture out fully. Grandpa(G) has a habit of 'having pieces spare' and I just wanted to check that none of the important pieces of Daddy's work were 'spare'.
I checked it good. I have a wardrobe that is split in half giving me hanging space at the bottom and hanging space at the top. My unit has four drawers in it on one side - two of the drawers were made by Mummy! On the other side is shelves for my books and things. I think it has made my room look perfect and the blue on the doors goes very well with my blue and blue walls. The drawers mean that I now have space for my jumpers and vests and socks and 'jypamas' (That's what Daddy calls my pyjamas!)
I also have a new football lamp-shade. That was part of my Christmas present from Uncle 'Ickle Kevin and Auntie Love-Leigh. To match with that I also have a football bean bag that Auntie Rita got me a little while ago but I have been saving for my new bedroom. My bedroom furniture is great!

Muffin Moments

My house is crazy at the moment. On Tuesday next week Mummy and Daddy are having some new windows put in our house. There is one going in my new bedroom, one in my old bedroom, one in the bathroom and one in the kitchen. We have had to clear space and so have had a clear out and Daddy dismantled the bunk bed. Daddy and me did have time for a muffin moment on Saturday in between all the busy things. Daddy had a classic choc-chip muffin whilst I went for a Rainbow muffin because it had smarties on the top! Today I spent some time with Mummy and then Auntie Rita and Uncle Ian so that Mummy and Daddy could finish the house. Then we all had a lovely dinner at Auntie Rita's house. The sad thing is that the Christmas tree and Christmas lights and Christmas sweeties have all been put away and I haven't even had chance yet to tell you about some of my lovely, lovely, lovely presents. I'm going to do that over the next few blogs I think.

Dip and Doodle

I've had a pretty normal week this week or should I say last week. I took Mummy and Daddy shopping to buy new mobile phones as I broke Daddy's when I threw it down the toilet. The weekend was a bit more exciting though. My big cousin Liam slept over on Friday night and then on Saturday Mummy and Liam and me and Auntie Rita and Uncle Ian went to the seaside. We went to a place called Largs and had an in-car picnic. Then we went to a place called "Dip and Doodle" and I had a great time as we were able to paint something. I painted a Rudolph Reindeer ready for Christmas. I was quite proud of myself. Then we all met Daddy and had dinner out at Nandos!

Rubbery Path

It's been a normal week here. Daddy's worked a bit, Mummy's worked a bit. I've been swimming. We did finally get the chippings that Daddy and me needed for the path we dug. Auntie Rita gave us a lovely bench in the summer and now it sits on a path. We had to kill the wild garden for a little while, but it will grow back. The best thing is the chippings are made from old car tyres and are all rubbery. It's get as I don't hurt myself if I fall on it and it feels bouncy under my feet. It's been raining since we finished it though, so we haven't been outside, but it does look lovely.

A week mostly with Mummy

This week things have been getting back to 'normal' after our two weeks holiday. As Daddy has been back at work I've spent most of the week with my Mummy. We haven't done a lot exciting really. We did have Chinese take away at Auntie Rita's house the other night which I liked very much. Yesterday Daddy took us to Starbucks when he had finished work and he bought me my favourite Raspberry and Coconut Cake! We also got some picture frames for some pictures of me! Today Daddy is off work and my girlfriend Amy is coming with her family and I don't know what we are going to do, but I think it will be nice. I'll let you know.

Mr Kipling Jr

I've had a busy couple of days since chillin' on Monday. On Tuesday me and Mummy had to wait in the house as the Gas man was coming to check the boiler and the cooker and the Sky man was coming to bring Daddy his new Sky+ box. They came and then I helped Mummy with some baking. We made a chocolate cake and some muffins! Making cakes is messy, but Mummy makes exceedingly good cakes. We then went for coffee at one of friends house from Mummy's and Toddlers. I went to Auntie Rita's on Tuesday night for dinner and it was lovely. I can't remember what I did on Wednesday - but I think I was busy. On Wednesday night, I went to the park with Daddy - it was very windy! I saw lots of Uffs (doggies) and one was chasing a ball. Today I went to see Gran and then Daddy and me went for a coffee in Starbucks. It's no wonder I'm sleeping well at nights - I'm shattered!

Weekend Catch-up!

Wow! What a busy few days. On Friday night Mummy and me went to see some of Mummy's friends. We went to see Sharon, Joyce, Lorna. Josie, Sharon (another one). Uncle Gordon came to our house to see Daddy and I saw him before I left and when I got back. He bought me the biggest balloon I've ever seen in my entire life! It has pictures of Tigger, Piglet and Winnie the Pooh on it. On Saturday we had a busy day doing little jobs - I kept falling asleep in the car and waking up somewhere different! At night time we went to Auntie Rita's house. Gran and Papa and Liam were there too and it was lovely to see them.

On Sunday morning Mummy, Daddy and me went to church - I took my tambourine and got to play it once. At night we went to church again and Daddy was leading the service. I got to play my tambourine lots as all the songs were loud! He even got me up on the platform - I "high-fived" him, but I left all the talking to him.

Food on the Chin of the Week

Back after the Christmas break and a couple of days later in the week than usual it's Food on the Chin of the Week time! Can you guess what I've been eating this time - as ever, the answer will be at the bottom. I've kinda been a bit lost with my days this week. Going south mid-week felt like a weekend and with Mum's and Tot's and Boobie Group not starting until next week, I've lost all track. Yesterday I nearly did something newish. I shuffled forward on my bottom at least 6 inches to reach my shoe! I have been investing a lot of time into walking so I haven't really explored other means of getting around like rolling or crawling. Yesterday night Mummy went to see a musical with Auntie Rita so Daddy and me had the house to ourselves. I had a smashing bath - with really deep water (that I'm learning not to drink) and my new favourite USA Duck which Daddy calls Baquack Obama. Then I fell asleep after some Weetabix and milk until Mummy came home. Today I went with Mummy and had coffee with my cousin Liam, and Mummy's friends - Joyce and Sharon. We went to town, but it rained bad - so I was glad to get home. Answer: Custard

Not long to go!

ONE MORE DAY until Jesus's's's birthday! Do you like my impression of him? - although I haven't got a proper halo, mine's made out of a candy necklace and mine might be better because you can eat it. I'm quite excited too that Santa will soon be here. Yesterday, Uncle Gordon and lovely Auntie Fiona and Auntie Gillian came round and we watched a film called "A Christmas Story" and had popcorn. It's a funny film - especially when one boy licks a flagpole and gets his tongue stuck to it because it's so cold. Tonight I went into town with Daddy to look at the lights and then to pick Auntie Rita up from work - it was nice to see her. Ooooooooo! Two more sleeps to go!

Food on the Chin of the Week

Following on from the success of the feature "Hat of the Week" here comes the new feature - "Food on the Chin of the Week". OK, I know the title my not be as catchy but it does what it says. Can you guess what I've been eating - the answer will be at the bottom of the post. Yesterday was a nice day. I went to Breast-Feeding Group and then Daddy took me Christmas Shopping whilst Mummy was at Uni. We had a great time - I got Mummy a little present for now - a gingerbread man making kit. We also met Uncle Gordon for coffee. Today we had a lazy morning. This afternoon Papa and Gran (N) and Auntie Rita came to visit and we took them to Summerlee. We had a really nice time with them, although the fresh air does make me sleepy.
Answer: Weetabix!

I got a present from Daddy and Mummy - they bought me a Lego Advent Calendar, I got a present from Auntie Rita - a snowman that sings "Jingle Bells" and I got a present from my cousins Natasha and Rebekah - three singing snowman who dance too whilst singing "Let it snow". Daddy and Mummy have put the decorations up and they look lovely - I especially like the star lights at the back door. Even God has done his bit and delivered snow this week! Thank you God, Mummy and Daddy, Auntie Rita and Natasha and Rebekah for making my first Christmas so exciting.

Nativity or Panto?

I'm practising for a part as "Baby Jesus" in a nativity play - any offers? If I don't get any offers - I'm going to try panto. Auntie Rita came to visit on Friday night and I was in the bath - it's so embarrassing but Mummy doesn't seem to think that I would be bothered at everyone seeing my tinky-winky! It was nice to see her and spend some time with her - I got lots of cuddles in - once I was dressed!

!!!HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRAN!!!
Today is my Gran's birthday. I'm not allowed to tell you how old she is, so all I'll say is that she's 65 years older than me! I think she looks good for her age - this picture hasn't been air-brushed at all. You can see I'm putting all my effort in a rousing duet of "Happy Birthday to you!" We had lunch today at a little cafe called The Rumbling Tum (I'd have called it The Rumbling Bum) with Auntie Rita, Auntie May and Gran. Mummy and Daddy were there too as this morning went to see my financial advisor about MY pension - it gives me comfort to know that these things are being sorted now - I'm planning to retire at 25!
By the way, just to keep you updated as I know you are interested, my poo has changed. For a while it has been runny and looked like yellow curry sauce, for the last two days it's been greenish and speckly - rather like pesto.
