What a week!

I've had a really busy week since I've been home from my holidays as Daddy has still been off work and so we have had lots and lots of play days. On Thursday Mummy and Daddy and Lottie and me had a few bits and bobs to do in the big town and we thought it would be fun to travel on the big train again. I really like going on the train as there is so much to see.
On Friday I went to a place in Rutherglen to do some pot painting. Mummy, Lottie, Daddy and me met Gran, Papa and Liam there. I painted a train, Mummy and Daddy painted things for Uncle 'Ickle Kevin and Auntie Love-Leigh, Liam painted a monster and Gran painted a fairy.
On Saturday we had to do a big shop, but we stopped before we got to the frozen stuff as a lady said we could go to the new library and see some animals. I touched a bunny and a guinea pig and I stroked a hen and had a duck on my knee. I touched a snake that Daddy then wore as a scarf around his neck. I held a cockroach and mouse which was cheeky and tried to go up my sleeve and a Gecko lizard.
I stroked a torty and two bearded dragons and I saw a scorpion and a tarantula which is a big, big, big incy-wincy spider but I wasn't allowed to touch them as they are venomous! I even stroked a big lizard thing called Iggy who is an Iguana. Later in the afternoon Katherine came round and we went out and then she came for dinner at our house.
Today I went to my friend Kathryn's birthday party and she will be five - I even got a kiss from the birthday girl! There was a clown at the party and he was very funny and did games and tricks and made me a balloon sword. It was a good party as I also saw my friend Hannah and my girlfriend Amy and her brother Lewis was there. Daddy goes back to work tomorrow and I have to go back to nursery play group school. I'll be glad of the rest I think!

Weekend Catch Up - Saturday

Boy, the weather has been boiling! On Saturday morning Mummy and Daddy loaded me into the car in my japamas at some early hour of the morning, like 8-ish and took us to visit my girlfriend Amy and her family. I can't believe they made me turn up in my japamas! We had a lovely morning just chillin' with the family - the Daddy's made breakfast whilst me, Amy and Lewis played and Charlotte laid on the floor.
We then went for a lovely walk, but it was too hot and I got a bit moody as Daddy forgot to take my bottle of mulk, so we retreated back to the garden and had ice-lollies instead, before we had to go home. I do like seeing my friends - I love them very much.

I had a massive sleep in the afternoon and then Daddy got my paddling pool out and then our friend Colin came round for dinner with his baby girl Aisha. We had a nice time with them and are going to see them again soon so that Colin's wife Helen can come too as she was out this time. I had my about my fifth late night this week!

My girl friends and my girlfriend

Whoa! I've been mixing with the ladies! I'm the man! On Friday both Mummy and Daddy were off work and after a lazy a morning at home I had to get ready to go to see some friends in Glenrothes. I had a big boy's wee and a wash to make sure I was looking good! Daddy went to see my girlfriend Amy and her family, Uncle Chris (H) and Auntie Dawn and Baby Lewis, whilst Mummy and me went to see Kathryn and Hannah and their Mummy and Daddy, Carol-Anne and Dan. I wasn't allowed to see my girlfriend Amy as she has chicken pox spots, but I managed a quick kiss when her Daddy came to pick up Baby Lewis for Kathryn and Hannah's house. I had a lovely time playing with Kathryn and Hannah's toys. They are lovely. The weather was all snowy coming back and not nice to drive in, but I slept all the way home.
On Saturday morning I baked some ginger muffins with Mummy because on Saturday night I went with Mummy and Daddy to visit Abigail and her Mummy and Daddy, Fiona and Steven. Abigail's Mummy is waiting for a new baby to hatch anytime soon like my Mummy. I had a great time playing with Abigail and I had some Irish stew for dinner.
On Sunday I went to visit Aunt Lizzie. I went with Mummy, Gran (N), Papa and Liam and we had lunch at IKEA. I had chips and red sauce. When we were in IKEA we met Kathryn and Hannah and their Mummy and Daddy again! Aunt Lizzie is in hospital so I then visited her there. She gave me a little doggy that looks like Granny and Grandpa's doggy, Poppy.

Holiday week highlights -Part two

On Friday my girlfriend Amy came to visit with her Mummy and Daddy and her baby brother, Lewis. We went to Kelvingrove Art Galleries and Museum which looked very spooky when we came out because of the mist. We had a lovely lunch at the restaurant there and then we went round the Dr Who exhibition. It was great as there was lots of buttons to press which made Cybermen and Daleks move. I found the Daleks a little scary and had to cuddle Daddy. I think Amy found the whole thing scary as she held my hand most of the way round. It's nice to have a girlfriend .

An Afternoon with The Hintons

On Saturday afternoon Mummy, Daddy and me went to see our friends the Hinton family. We had a lovely time and Claire and Ian were also there. Lewis was a lot bigger than the last time I saw him. He can roll around the floor to get where he wants to go - it's quite funny. We went to a lovely park and we went for a walk and a play on the swings, see-saw and I even went down the slide. The slide wasn't at all slide though - it was rubbish! I did enjoy walking up it though.

Claire and Ian are Amy and Lewis' Auntie and Uncle. Claire is going to have a baby like Mummy but she is expecting hers out 19 days before my brother/sister arrives. That's quite exciting. When we got home Thomas the Tank train set as he says I need to practice before I can have the one the nice lady gave me on Friday. Daddy loaded some sweets onto the Thomas, who dropped them off for Terrance the Tractor to pick up and later reload back on Thomas and then into my mouth. I haven't played with this since I was very little so it was very exciting to play with it last night. We also had pizza and chicken strips so it was a double treat! What a lovely day I had.

Nutty Professor!

I like a lot of different foods but I especially like jam and honey at the moment. Sticky foods are great, but they don't half play havoc with your hair! Daddy said I looked like a nutty professor. I haven't done very much in the last few days as both Mummy and Daddy were at work. On Friday we had a lovely day out as Amy and her family came to visit and we went to an old school in the city that is now a museum. It was great as it had classrooms set out as they would have been at different times. The school was quite old as it was built over 100 years ago and only stopped being a school when my Daddy was 5 years old. Then we went to eat at Nando's - and I had a bean burger!

A week mostly with Mummy

This week things have been getting back to 'normal' after our two weeks holiday. As Daddy has been back at work I've spent most of the week with my Mummy. We haven't done a lot exciting really. We did have Chinese take away at Auntie Rita's house the other night which I liked very much. Yesterday Daddy took us to Starbucks when he had finished work and he bought me my favourite Raspberry and Coconut Cake! We also got some picture frames for some pictures of me! Today Daddy is off work and my girlfriend Amy is coming with her family and I don't know what we are going to do, but I think it will be nice. I'll let you know.

Baby Lewis

This is baby Lewis. I told you his middle name was Micheal, but that is not right, his middle name is actually Matthew! Whatever he is called it doesn't matter to me as I think he is great, I'm fascinated by him and he's soft to touch. I went to see baby Lewis when he was one week old and we went out for lunch and then went to the park. I also saw baby Lewis last Saturday and we went to Kelvingrove Museum and Art Gallery. He was over two weeks old then. He spends a lot of time sleeping and he makes sounds like a little kitten. I also got to spend some time with my girlie Amy. It's great having friends.

Baby Hinton's Arrived!

My girlfriend Amy's Mummy and Daddy have got a new baby! Amy's got a little brother and I have a new best-friend - I just know it. This is not a picture of him though, but a picture of me when I hatched. (Daddy said it wouldn't matter putting a picture of me as all baby's look the same.) His name is Lewis Micheal and he cost just over £8 apparently, which is more than I was and he arrived at tea-time yesterday. I'm going to visit him next week and we're going on holiday together in the summer! I have so much to teach him!

Catch Up: 2 - My Dedication

My Dedication Service was great - apart from the fact that I missed the whole thing. As you can see from the picture, I was there, but I just slept through it all. Lots and lots of people came to my Dedication Service, lots of my family and lots of my friends - our church was nearly full! Allan and Linda (My Corps Officers) led everything through and my hero Paul and Jenn sang some songs, Uncle Chris (H) did the Dedication, Uncle 'Ickle Kevin was made my God-Father, the band played, the songsters sang, there was even cake afterwards, but I'm a little like my Mummy and by the end of the night I didn't enjoy being the centre of attention. It was very lovely - and I was given lots of lovely presents - and everyone was lovely, but there are only so many hugs a boy of 8 months can cope with! I was kinda glad to get home - and my girlfriend Amy came back with me for a little while! It was a perfect end to a perfect day.

Busy Busy Busy

I'm really sorry - I've fallen behind on "hat of the week" and I haven't posted since Wednesday, but I've been really busy. I've now headed south for a few days to stay with Gran (G) and Grandpa. I'll post all about it when I return.

Just a quick thank-you to my girlfriend Amy for having me and Mummy and Daddy over for dinner last night. Daddy and Uncle Chris (H) had great fun as ever and Mummy and Auntie Dawn chit-chatted lots! Thank you!

Sunday, 14 September 2008

I had a really busy day yesterday. Uncle Chris, Auntie Dawn and my girlie Amy came to visit. Daddy and Uncle Chris built my Thomas the Tank Engine train set. It's fantastic! Thomas pulls two carriages, one is loaded with a log. Thomas drops off the log, which is then picked up by Terence who moves it to another station and reloads it on to the carriage! There is even Harold the Helicopter!

We were supposed to be going to Proms in the Park last night but because it hasn't stopped raining since, well, all my life, we didn't go. In the end Uncle 'Ickle Kevin and his girlfriend Arlene came to visit. Uncle 'Ickle Kevin thinks he's a superhero as he is training to be a policeman! He may not be a superhero, but he is super and one of my heroes!

I didn't get chance to blog yesterday - I was kinda busy. Don't panic girls - I didn't get married!!! I did go to my first wedding party though. It was lovely to celebrate the wedding of Sharon and Ian - this is me with the blushing bride! They had a ceilidh - a Scottish dance which is a lot of fun. My favourite girl Amy was there too and the Daddy's were once again planning our wedding! I hope Sharon and Ian are as happily married as Mummy and Daddy - maybe they'll make a friend for me to play with soon!?!

OK, So the result for Derby County wasn't good yesterday, but the day wasn't all bad. Mummy, Daddy and me went to see our friends Uncle Chris, Auntie Dawn and their lovely daughter Amy. We had lunch with them and then went for a walk in a park. There were ducks and swans, but the fresh air made me sleepy.
After our walk, I woke up and had a little cuddle with Amy. Uncle Chris and Daddy want us to get married because they think that it will be fun to spend Christmas together in the future! She is a little older than me, but Uncle Chris has offered Daddy 10 Camels in with the deal. When those two get together it's scary what they come up with!

Then Daddy took me to play on the swings (I think he forgets how little I am!) which I loved and they really made me smile, but after a while they make you feel a little queasy!
