Happy Birthweek Lottie - for yesterday!

Happy Birthday to my little sister Lottie! Have a few drinks on me! Lottie has had a Birthweek instead of a Birthday. It all started a week ago when Grandpa and Gran came to visit. They arrived to stay with us last Friday and I was very excited to see them. We then had our first party of the week and Gran and Papa and Auntie Rita and Uncle Ian and Liam came and we had food and birthday cakes. It was great.
On Saturday I took Gran and Grandpa and Mummy and Daddy and Lottie to Sealife in Loch Lomond. We went in Grandpa's big huge car and Daddy and me sat on the back-back seat! It was nice to see all the fish, there are some funny ones. It was also funny watching Grandpa feed Lottie as every time he gave Lottie a mouthful of yogurt, his tongue kept sticking out!

On Saturday night we had party number 2 and my cousins Robbie, Dylan and Liam and my Uncle David and Auntie Cat came and we had a lovely time. Lottie had some lovely presents that I tried out for her. We had some more food and more cake.
Then on Sunday we had a lazy morning before Gran and Grandpa took us to Nandos for lunch, then they had to go home. After that Lottie and me and Daddy had a poorly week and Lottie and me were very snotty.

Then yesterday, Lottie's proper birthday, Uncle 'Ickle Kevin and Auntie Gillian came to play. We went to Drumpellier Park and then had a KFC - "Ach, I hate the Colonel with his wee beady eyes and his smug grin on his face "Ach - you're gonna buy my chicken" Why? Because he puts an addictive chemical in his chicken that makes you grave it fortnightly smarties!" Daddy says that every time we see a KFC - I think it's from a film. Well, Happy Birthweek Lottie - it's mine next (after Auntie Tor's, Daddy's, Gran's...)

An Igloo isn't a chilly toilet?

The UK continues to have lots of snow - in case you didn't know. I took this photo with Mummy's camera when Daddy threw me up into the air really, really, really high and you can see most of the UK is white. It's caused chaos. Mummy and Daddy and Lottie and me have spent most of the week in the house. We had Layne and Abbie come to visit and to play on Monday and Tuesday. They are from next door but I think it took them six hours to make the journey, I think. Yesterday we did venture to Tesco's but that was as far as we went. We met up with Katherine Snotrag there and had lunch in the cafe.

Being at home has meant that Daddy and me have got a bit bored - there is only so many times you can watch "How to train your Dragon", but Daddy always finds something exciting to do - I don't think he ever gets bored. Daddy decided that we would build an igloo. Daddy and me built the walls one day and then finished off the roof the next. It's not huge, but it fits me and my Daddy in it and my pet rabbit that I found in the snow (actually it is just a chunk of snow, but I'm two years old and driven by a creative imagination!)
Today we met Grandpa and Gran in town! We walked around the market and then I took them to see the dinosaur at Kelvingrove. They went there by bus but Mummy, Daddy, me and Lottie went on an undergound train!

Fun Things to do Indoors

With the nights getting colder and darker way before bedtime and it no longer being weather to go out to the Sandy-Park I thought I'd give you some suggestions on things you can do that are still fun even though you may be stuck at home. My first suggestion is DANCING! clear away your toys, get as many people as you can to dance and get some good tunes on the ipod dock - and don't forget to have the potty close by - all that jigging can make you want to pee-pee! My favourite tunes at the moment are "Honey, Honey" from the film Mamma Mia, "I guess you could say" by Middle Class Rut and "The World is all there" by Fools Gold, oh and I still like Mika's "Lollipop". Uncle 'Ickle Kevin, Daddy and me were really pulling off the moves the other night!

Or if Dancing is not your thing, get your daddy to get out DADDY'S TOYS. I have come to discover that Daddy's Toys are always better than boy's toys. My Daddy has some cool things that I'm only allowed to play with when he's around. He has some big boy's Lego (which, strangely, is smaller than little boy's Lego) and we have had some fun building boats and cars and ambulances and planes. You have to concentrate hard when you are playing with it as it's a bit fiddly, but it burns away the hours after dinner and before bedtime.

My last suggestion is to get Mummy and Daddy to take you SOMEWHERE ELSE that is indoors. I like swimming, but my favourite place is Happy Days! Mummy and Daddy and Lottie and me went on Monday afternoon.

I like going down the big chutes and so does my Poppy-Doggy - this is Poppy-Doggy coming down the chute by herself. Anyone can go down the chutes and bounce on the trampolines. A few weeks ago I took Granny and Grandpa and even they liked going down the chutes. Granny was the fastest in her smooth and speedy trousers. We had a great time on Monday - we even had some tea at Happy Days. As we were going to the car though Mummy was very naughty. Mummy didn't stop at the curb and just walked out onto the road. I told her off all the way to Gran and Papa's house as she was a baddie and it was a busy road.

Ups and Downs!

This weekend Granny and Grandpa came to stay and play. On Friday afternoon I woke up from an afternoon sleep to find them in my house! I was very excited to see them. Grandpa and me and Daddy went to the park on Friday night but it was very dark. Granny went with Mummy and Lottie to a Body-Shop party - boring!
On Saturday we all went out to Almond Valley Heritage Centre. It is a farm that you can walk around and see all the animals and there is lots to do and lots to play on. Granny and Grandpa taught me a game called 'Pooh Sticks'. At first I thought they were being rude but it's named after Winne the Pooh. You drop a stick over one side of a bridge into a stream and then wait for it to come out from under the bridge on the other side, if you don't have a stick you can use a leaf.

Grandpa and Granny and Daddy and me went down a big rabbit hole where you can see the bunnies in their homes and then I had a bounce on the trampolines. I also saw lots of animals like cows and pigs and sheep and rabbits and ducks and I played in a big sandpit. I was having a lovely time until I looked into a shed and a scarecrow in the shed scared me - he should have been called a scareNoah!

After dinner we had a birthday cake for Grandpa as it is his birthday at the end of the month. I made him a card and gave him his birthday present which he liked a lot. On Sunday I took Granny and Grandpa to Happy Days and then we went out for lunch, but I couldn't eat very much as I really needed to poo, but it wouldn't come out until later.

I Bumped me 'ead!

Oh no! I bumped me 'ead! I've given myself a right shinner of a black-eye. It happened last night just before I was going to bed. I slipped on one of my books and fell against my Duplo box. It hurt very, very much. It even hurt when I was trying to get to sleep, especially when I kept rolling on to it in the night.
I had a nice day before that. There was no school as yesterday was a local bank holiday and Mummy's friends Blair and Gillian came to visit.
The day before we had Auntie Love-Leigh and Uncle 'Ickle Kevin come to play. They spent all afternoon and most of the evening with us. We had some much fun - I like it when they visit.
This weekend we have more visitors coming - Granny and Grandpa - Yeah! They are coming for a sleep-over though - I'm so excited.
Today I went to school - black-eye and all - and I had toast for snack and did some dancing. I might just chill out a little this afternoon.

Mamma Mia!

Last weekend we went to stay with Granny and Grandpa. It was great fun as we had a Mamma Mia party at Auntie Tor and Uncle Chris' house with Tasha and Bebe. We made our own pizzyhuts and I put cheese on mine. Daddy made some balloon animals and balloon hats and we watched and sang along to Mamma Mia.

The next day we went to the Pottery Beach at Denby and we played for ages in the sand. We built huge sand castles and then knocked them down and I also had a ice lolly. I had a brand new bucket and spade and they are both huge.

I also got to see Nanna Ol' and Uncle Richard and I had a new Derby County football top. The journey home was not good as the weather was wet and windy so I slept most of the way.

My Summer Holiday - Tuesday Day 10

Boo! This was the last day of my holiday away, but, Hooray! I got to spend it with Granny and Grandpa and Mummy and Daddy and Lottie at Alnwick Castle and it was great! First of all we finished off Alnwick Gardens with a tour around the Poison Garden! Then we went to see the castle. I got to dress up as a knight and Mummy dressed up as a maiden. We went through a scary thing called the dragon's quest and I'm glad I had Daddy's neck to snuggle into and I'm glad I am still in nappies!

There was time for coffee and time to play with Grandpa and Daddy had a go at archery and did very good. Daddy says it's still the law that an Englishman should do archery practise and he likes to keep the law. Daddy got an arrow right in the middle of the target - he's like Robin Hood! We went for lunch at a little pub and I had fish fingers. I was sad when it was time to say goodbye to Gran and Grandpa. But I did have a lovely holiday!

My Summer Holiday - Monday Day 9

On Monday on my holiday I got up and ready early as me and Lottie, Mummy and Daddy and Granny and Poppy (Grandpa) were going to Alnwick. We were going there to spend some time in the gardens and to visit the castle. Grandpa has a big car and we all managed to fit in it together. When we got to Alnwick we went to see the gardens first. I like playing on the tractors and Granny took me to fill the bucket up with water.
I like playing in water lots and so does Grandpa! After spending the morning in the gardens we went a got some food in Alnwick. We then took it back to the gardens to have a picnic.
Later in the afternoon we went to a book shop called Barter Books. I like it because it is in an old train station and it has two little trains that run on a track over the book cases. then we went out for dinner - I had fish and then we went for a walk round a park. Daddy was my horsey and I rode on his shoulders for a bit round the park. Then I made everyone go for a run as it is good to get rid of all that dinner!

COME ON EN-GER-LAND!

Yippee! The Football World Cup started on Friday so on Saturday morning we dressed to impress! Daddy got me my England strip for Christmas and Mummy bought Charlotte her top for only £1! Everybody thought she was a boy on Saturday though - Ha ha! We spent the day on Saturday with Granny and Grandpa and Grandpa's cousin Pearl and Ray who also visited me on Thursday and Friday as well. We had a lovely day out on Saturday, although I didn't like it when they had to go home and I was very sad. When we got home we settled down to watch England against USA. I shouted "Gooooooaaaaaaaaaal!" when we scored after three minutes and danced around the room with Daddy. Just before half-time we let in a soft equaliser so I went to bed. The score remained at a disappointing 1-1.

A few days away

I was away for a few days at the beginning of this week with Mummy and Daddy and Charlotte. we went to see Granny and Grandpa and the rest of the family down south. It was a little bit of a quick trip as we didn't go until after Daddy had finished work on Sunday and we came home on Tuesday. It was nice to see everyone though. On Monday I got a bargain when we went to the Derby County Shop. I got my very own kit reduced from £30 to £7.50! I saw Nan Ol' then went to the Markeaton Park. The park was huge and I saw lots of ducks - two or maybe more. I played on the kid's park and Daddy and I went for a paddle in the paddling pool - it was very very chilly! In the evening I saw Uncle Chris, Auntie Tor, Tasha and Bebe.

On Tuesday I went for a walk with Granny and Mummy and Daddy and Charlotte. It was a lovely walk and I saw Coos and horses and ducks and geese that went ha ha ha! I was so tired that I fell asleep and missed lunch, but I got some later. We had dinner and then had to come home.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day Mummy and Granny (G) and Gran (N)! I've had a fun filled weekend socialising and stuff. On Saturday morning Daddy and me went shopping for another present for Mummy for Mother's Day. He also got me a cake at Starbucks which was lovely. Then for lunch we went to Katherine's house. I had a lovely time and such a lovely lunch. We didn't leave her house until 7.00! Then in the car Mummy and Daddy decided that we would go to Nandos for dinner so went back and invited Katherine to come with us!
Today I went to church with Mummy and Daddy. I was a really big boy and went into the creche all by myself. After church we went to see Gran (N) and Papa and we stayed for tea.

Granny and Grandpa Visit

I can't believe that today is Thursday - it's been a crazy busy week, especially as Mummy has been working night shift.
Last Saturday I was very excited as Granny and Grandpa came to visit me. They live a long way-a-way so I don't get to see them as often as I would like. They arrived in the morning on Saturday and gave me some Bob the Builder Fuzzy-Felt. Mummy was working, so Daddy took us all out for the day. First, we went for some lunch at Dobbie's Garden Centre and I had pea and ham soup and a ham sandwich and some crisps. Then we went to a brand new park that I have never been to before. It was called Mugdock Park, but I think it should be renamed Mud-dog Park as there was lots of dogs and lots of mud. I fell over three times and Daddy had to wipe my hands with a nappy and baby wipes. It was OK though as I got a lolly and a shoulder ride! After being at the park we went home and spent an evening in.
On Sunday I took Granny and Grandpa to Funky Monkeys and we walked all the way there and back. I think Granny had a good time on the big slide. Then I fell asleep and when I woke up, they had gone home. It's OK though as we'll see them again soon.

Feeling a little tents!

I've had busy few days and I have been feeling a little tense - get it? - a little tents. My wigwam was one of my Christmas present from my Auntie Tor and Uncle Chris (N) and Tasha and Bebe and I hide in it when Daddy chases me. The England strip was a present from my Daddy. Anyway, back to my busy days. Monday was a worky day - Mummy was at work and Daddy had to do a late shift so after a morning with him I went to see Gran (N) and Papa. On Tuesday I spent the day with Auntie Rita as we had our new windows being put in at my house. They look lovely and I now have a choice of whether I change bedrooms or not - and I can't decide. Mummy and Daddy also had to drop Daddy's car in so that it was ready for it's MOT today. Today Mummy and Daddy were both off, but I didn't sleep well last night as I'm a bit snotty. Last night Daddy and me ended up watching Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Santa Buddies from 1.30am to 5.00am - then I fell asleep. We had to go and see the mid-wife this afternoon but I cried when we got into the room and Daddy had to take me out. I remember the jags they gave me last time and feared they were going to do it again. It was all OK in the end and everything is good with Mummy and Bump II. We still have icy snow just like when Granny and Grandpa visited at Christmas time, but there was no time for sledging today as we had to go to Mummy's school, the big shops and then pick the car up before going home for tea.

Buses, Cars and the AA

Mummy and Daddy and Snowy and me went to visit Granny and Grandpa this weekend, although we nearly didn't make it. When Daddy was coming home from work on Friday his car became poorly and stopped on the motorway. He had to call the AA to send a man who was very clever and made it all better. Poor Daddy was very cold when he picked me up but happy that the car was OK. We then got up very early on Saturday to travel south.

It was lovely to see Granny and Grandpa and I also got to see Auntie Tor and Uncle Chris and I got to play with my cousins Natasha and Rebekah which I liked very much. On Saturday night Grandpa took me to see his buses. I was so excited when we got to his work as I'd never seen so many buses in one place before. I went on a little bus, a big bus and a double-decker. I also got to sit in the driver's seat and then I got to ride on a bus as it went through a bus-wash. I also saw went to the bus hospital where poorly buses are made to feel better. Granny and Grandpa also gave me a present for advent. I got a DVD called 'Santa Buddies' and a cuddly doggy like Snowy and the Puppy Paws in the film (I sat and watched the film on my blow-up bed today, it is very good, apart from the naughty man in it. Thank you Granny and Grandpa!) I also saw old Nanna, who we had to visit in hospital. On the way home, not far from Granny and Grandpa's house, our car got poorly again and became to splutter and shake and a warning light came on. Mummy and Daddy had to stop and call the AA man again. The car seemed to sort itself out though and the AA man was very nice, but couldn't find anything wrong. At least we got home safely even though it took us some time.

Christmas is coming!

Christmas is coming - there's only 37 more sleeps! I've been spending some time trying out some things that I might add to my Christmas list. I did like this bike, but to be honest I think it's a little too big for me this year. Mummy and Daddy say that I'm going to be lucky to get any presents as I've become a little naughty this week. I've spent more time in the 'naughty corner' than I have anywhere else!
My busy week continued last week. Friday was very good though as I had a surprise see of Gran (G) and Grandpa. They were staying for a holiday in a big hotel in the middle of Scotland and Mummy, Daddy and me went to spend an afternoon with them. Gran and Grandpa got me a penny whistle as a present and I love it.
I spent most of the weekend with Gran (N) and Papa as Mummy and Daddy were working and Daddy also went out with some of his work friends to see a band called Alabama 3. Monday and Tuesday were again worky days - although we did do some more Christmas list looking on Monday night.
Today Mummy was at her college placement so Daddy and I waited for her in town and had coffee with Auntie Jen and Uncle Paul. I saw lots and lots of buses and also some very pretty Christmas lights. We then went out to Wagamama for dinner and I had a some off Daddy's noodles and Mummy's rice.

Emma & Gary's Wedding

It was time again to get smartly dressed and get ready to party! My Daddy's cousin Emma got married this month. Gran (G) and Grandpa came to visit as they were going to the wedding too which was in Dundee. It was lovely to see them. We had a nice day at the wedding and I had sausages and mash to eat, but I could wait for the music to start. I like dancing and I had may new flashing trainers on. I especially like dancing with Daddy's cousin Louise and she is lovely.

Lad's Weekend Away

I can't believe it's this weekend and I haven't had chance to blog about last weekend - where does the week go, it was never like this before I turned 1 year old.
Last weekend was a "Lad's Weekend Away", or to be exact, a lad, his Dad and a dog's weekend away. As Mummy was working Daddy, Snowy and me went to visit the family in Derby. We stayed with Gran (G) and Grandpa, I saw Uncle Chris, Auntie Tor, Tasha and Bebe; I saw Great Nanna T and Great Nan Ol', I saw Great, Great Auntie Audrey and Great, Great Auntie Rose as well as some friends. We only travelled down Saturday and came back up Sunday so we were really busy. It was nice to see everyone though. I slept most of the journey there and back, apart from when I was hugely sick on the way home. It's a good job I had my PJ's for Daddy to change me into. I was shattered when I got home but it was lovely to see my Mummy!

Coffee, Coffee, Coffee!

The last few days have been great! On Tuesday I was at Gran (N) and Papa's house as Mummy and Daddy were at work and you'll never guess who came for coffee - Gran (G) and Grandpa! All the way from a long way-a-way. I didn't know they were coming and I wasn't expecting to see them. They came and visited for a few days. Yesterday they came and played at my house and had dinner with us and then today we spent the whole day together. We went to the People's Palace and then to Starbucks for coffee!
I'm going to be busy for the next week, so I may not be able to blog. I'm telling you in advance so you don't think I'm just slacking again. I'm actually going to be busy at a Music School. It'll be early mornings and late nights so I may be hitting the coffee again! I let you know how I get on.

Flying visit south

On Monday I went with Mummy and Daddy to visit my family in England. Daddy says it was just a 'flying visit' and from the way he was spinning me I know what he meant! We spent some time with Gran and Grandpa (G) and on Tuesday I went to the park with Auntie Tor and Uncle Chris and Tasha and Bebe. The weather was warm and kinda sticky but the park was great as there was a great big paddling pool. Tasha and Bebe had there swimming costumes but I just went in nudey-rudey! At first I did go in with my nappy on but it sucked up half the water! After being in the paddling pool we went on the swings and then played crazy golf and then when we got back to Gran and Grandpa's we had a barbecue. I also got to see Great Nana T and and Great Nan Ol'.

Happy Birthday Gran G

Last Monday was Gran (G)'s birthday. I'm a little sad that I didn't get to see her on her birthday as she lives a long way away. I did go and visit her with Mummy and Daddy the week before though and we had a lovely time. She lives so far away that I slept in the car, had food and then slept some more - and we still weren't there! It takes half a day to get there! We did lots of nice things when we visit Gran and Grandpa, but I'll tell you about those later. Happy Birthday Gran!
