Daddy's Birthday Family Outing!

Happy Birthday Daddy! Daddy's birthday was on Friday and he had a lovely day. We got him some nice presents. A replica 'Escape to Victory' football shirt, some sweeties, some speakers for his iPhone and Daddy also got a jumper and some Lego which I helped him build in the morning. On Saturday we then went on a 'Birthday Outing' and it was a great outing! Lottie and me were moved to the car whilst we were sleeping as Mummy and Daddy set off early to go to the Lake District. I got dressed at a service station and we then went to Haverthwaite where we we going for a ride on a steam train! It wasn't a little pretend steam train, but a real-life-proper-full-size steam train. I got to watch it back up to the carriages and then we all climb aboard. We had tea and cake and juice and a gingerbread man on the train and Mummy's cake was huge! We travelled on the train to Lakeside and we got off the train and we then went for a ride on a big white boat! It was lovely weather so we sat on the roof of the boat. I saw a water-skier, some boats, swans and ducks and a turtle-dinosaur (a crocodile) and a whale.

The boat stopped at Bowness-on-Windermere and we got off and had a picnic. Daddy got me a ball and we played with that for a while. It was very sunny and lovely. Soon it was time to go home so we had to get back on the boat. I had a little snooze on the boat journey on the way back but I woke up in time to got back on the train. On the way back I spent most of the journey looking out of the window of the door. The train smoke smelt funny and it was great to see the engine when we went round a bend. It was the best birthday outing ever!

Happy Birthweek Lottie - for yesterday!

Happy Birthday to my little sister Lottie! Have a few drinks on me! Lottie has had a Birthweek instead of a Birthday. It all started a week ago when Grandpa and Gran came to visit. They arrived to stay with us last Friday and I was very excited to see them. We then had our first party of the week and Gran and Papa and Auntie Rita and Uncle Ian and Liam came and we had food and birthday cakes. It was great.
On Saturday I took Gran and Grandpa and Mummy and Daddy and Lottie to Sealife in Loch Lomond. We went in Grandpa's big huge car and Daddy and me sat on the back-back seat! It was nice to see all the fish, there are some funny ones. It was also funny watching Grandpa feed Lottie as every time he gave Lottie a mouthful of yogurt, his tongue kept sticking out!

On Saturday night we had party number 2 and my cousins Robbie, Dylan and Liam and my Uncle David and Auntie Cat came and we had a lovely time. Lottie had some lovely presents that I tried out for her. We had some more food and more cake.
Then on Sunday we had a lazy morning before Gran and Grandpa took us to Nandos for lunch, then they had to go home. After that Lottie and me and Daddy had a poorly week and Lottie and me were very snotty.

Then yesterday, Lottie's proper birthday, Uncle 'Ickle Kevin and Auntie Gillian came to play. We went to Drumpellier Park and then had a KFC - "Ach, I hate the Colonel with his wee beady eyes and his smug grin on his face "Ach - you're gonna buy my chicken" Why? Because he puts an addictive chemical in his chicken that makes you grave it fortnightly smarties!" Daddy says that every time we see a KFC - I think it's from a film. Well, Happy Birthweek Lottie - it's mine next (after Auntie Tor's, Daddy's, Gran's...)

Happy Birthday to ME - I'm 1000 days old!

Party! Everybody Dance! Do this (See Above)... Then this (See Below)... Then Repeat!

Today is a birthday celebration of my 1000th day! How great is that?! Congratulations and thank-you Mummy and Daddy on doing a good job and keeping me alive this long, I know it wasn't easy at the beginning, but you're doing OK - what hasn't killed me should make me stronger, once I've been through the necessary counseling.
Wow! - Huge, huge, huge big news! It's a big achievement bullet-in! Yesterday I went swimming with Daddy and did swimming all by myself just using a long snake float! I could even do turns in the water! I think it's because I was inspired by the fish I saw on Monday when Daddy took me and Lottie to Sealife Centre at Loch Lomond. It was great. I saw lots of different fish, some looked like zebras and I touched a starfish! My favourite thing was the big turtle. I liked him a lot and even saw him eating his dinner. I also went in a bubble in a tank and I saw two Nemo fishes and two Dori Fishes! A little otter even came right up to the glass where I was to say 'hello', I think he liked me.

Derby win a game! Clan win a trophy!

Wow! Some Saturday's are just the best. You feel like the King of your castle! What a fab day! First of all, we had snow today - it was too wet to do anything with, but we did have about an inch of it! Then, this afternoon Derby County beat Swansea City 2-1 - a shock result for us as Derby haven't won hee-haw for ages and Swansea were second in the league. Daddy was so happy he took Mummy and Lottie and me to Pizza Hut for tea to celebrate. It was great! Then tonight The Braehead Clan have won their first trophy! They won the Aladdin 20/20 Cup beating the Panthers 3 -0 in the last game. 'Mon the Claaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan! He didn't take us anywhere for that, but I wouldn't have wanted to go to Pizza Hut twice in one day.
The picture below is an achievement picture too. When Daddy came in from work he was surprised to find that whilst Mummy had been upstairs putting Lottie in her bed, I had got my stool, gone to the fridge and poured myself a drink of juice, a mix of orange and apple - and I didn't spill a drop! Well, I didn't spill any at the time of pouring, however, five minutes after this photo was taken I had a little accident and spilled most of the juice everywhere- oops! I just missed the top of the sideboard and it was too late! Daddy was on the phone to Grandpa at the time, but Mummy and Daddy don't get angry at accidents - they only get cross when I spill my juice on purpose!

Saturdays are great!

Mummy was working AGAIN this weekend, so on Saturday morning I decided to give Daddy a break after a hard week at work and I took on some of the 'Mummy and Daddy' jobs with Lottie. I read her a story about Zigby the Zebra and his friends Bertie and McMeer. Daddy reads this book to me and I think that she liked it. I then sang some songs with her and played a game where we had to pretend to be asleep and then clap very very fast when we were awake. Lottie and I both liked that game.

Then, as Mummy and Daddy do this a lot, I gave Lottie lots of kisses and cuddles. I'm not sure she enjoyed this as much as the book and the singing and the game, but it's all part of life. I was quite glad when Auntie Rita arrived at 10.00am to take us to Funky Monkeys! It's very tiring being a Mummy and Daddy.

I also went to visit Gran on Saturday and then Daddy took me to the ice hockey. I had a seat right next to the penalty box and had a really good time. Uncle Gordon was up from Londaon and he sat with us for the 2nd period. It was nice to see him. The Clan beat Edinburgh Capitals 7 - 1! I sang and danced for the 3rd period and entertained everyone near me, including the penalty box man who gave me a high-five from the other side of the glass and a hockey puck from the game! I didn't get home until late-O'clock so went straight to bed!

Glasgow Science Centre

Wow! Yesterday Daddy and Lottie and me had to get out of the house early as Mummy worked a night shift on Friday night and needed her sleep. Daddy had planned that we were going to go on an adventure and he wouldn't tell anyone where we were going to, not even Mummy - which she found most frustrating. Daddy's adventure took us to some funny shaped buildings that I have never been to before to a place called the Glasgow Science Centre.

The Glasgow Science Centre (GSC) is great. Here's some advice though - dress in layers. As you get to play with lots of different things there I found that I got a little hot, then wet, but it was OK because I just peeled a layer off! The GSC has lots of hands-on learning things and some things are very clever. With one thing, in the picture above, I turned on a great big fan which blew over something that looked like the wing of a plane. I then put a little ball at the bottom of the tube under the wing, and the ball magically went up the tube until it flew out at the top!

My favourite thing there is the area where you can play with water. There are boats to play with and water gates, called locks, and pumps and valves - one had a little ball that let the water out when you pressed it in. I loved playing in the water and really should have worn an apron. There was a really nice lady who volunteered to work there who played with the boats with me.
Then we saw a real-life helicopter land next to the river. It was the same helicopter that went flubber-flubber-flubber over Daddy's car on Friday.

Daddy took us all for ham sandwiches and crispies for lunch in the cafe and then we went to play some more. There were tables where you could build with Lego and other toys, there was also some puppets to play with and some tubes that blew some coloured material high into the air. I had a really great time and even had a new big dinosaur from the gift shop.
Last night, me and Daddy and Uncle Chris went to the Ice Hockey and it was good. The Clan beat the Cardiff Devils 3-2 after 40 seconds of over-time and we had been losing 2-0!

Lazy days and eating days!

Oh boy, I've been hungry and tired and hungry and tired in the last few days. I must be going through a bit of a growth spurt. Today I have eaten, choccy toast, Banana, orange juice, more toast, ham sandwiches, crisps, two custard creams and a cup of tea, three chocolate coins, milk, chicken and carrots, some of Lottie's Hula Hoops and now I'm waiting in the ice-cream van! I've also had an extra sleep this afternoon.
Tuesday I went to school and then in the afternoon Auntie Gillian came to play. We then went to the park for a play, but it was a bit windy when we got there so I decided not to get out of the buggy! Yesterday Daddy took us out for lunch at Nando's and I had chicken and chippys and garlic bread. We had a lovely time. We then came home and watched the film 'Despicable Me" which I think has a good chance of being a family favourite.
The top ten Godfrey family favourite films are (at the moment):
1. How to train your Dragon
2. Madagascar (AKA (in our house) as lion king)
3. Lego - The Adventures of Clutch Powers (AKA Lego bricks)
4. Despicable Me
5. Dinosaur (AKA Big dinosaur one, with little monkeys and the big meteor falls from sky and makes big bang and everyone runs)
6. Surf's Up (AKA Pengus surfing)
7. Bee Movie
8. Cars
9. Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs
10. Happy Feet (AKA Pengus dancing)
Just outside the top ten are Astroboy, Beauty and the Beast and Escape to Victory.

Today I went to Helen's Parents and Toddlers and I made cards by gluing and sticking and played on the chute and the trampoline. Then I slept. Then I ate some more. I wonder what I'll eat tomorrow.

An Igloo isn't a chilly toilet?

The UK continues to have lots of snow - in case you didn't know. I took this photo with Mummy's camera when Daddy threw me up into the air really, really, really high and you can see most of the UK is white. It's caused chaos. Mummy and Daddy and Lottie and me have spent most of the week in the house. We had Layne and Abbie come to visit and to play on Monday and Tuesday. They are from next door but I think it took them six hours to make the journey, I think. Yesterday we did venture to Tesco's but that was as far as we went. We met up with Katherine Snotrag there and had lunch in the cafe.

Being at home has meant that Daddy and me have got a bit bored - there is only so many times you can watch "How to train your Dragon", but Daddy always finds something exciting to do - I don't think he ever gets bored. Daddy decided that we would build an igloo. Daddy and me built the walls one day and then finished off the roof the next. It's not huge, but it fits me and my Daddy in it and my pet rabbit that I found in the snow (actually it is just a chunk of snow, but I'm two years old and driven by a creative imagination!)
Today we met Grandpa and Gran in town! We walked around the market and then I took them to see the dinosaur at Kelvingrove. They went there by bus but Mummy, Daddy, me and Lottie went on an undergound train!

Ice Ice Baby!

On Friday Mummy, Daddy and me spent some time digging all the snow and ice off our drive so that Daddy could get his car parked. As a treat Daddy decided to keep in the 'ice' theme and he took me and Mummy and Lottie to the Ice Hockey to watch the Braehead Clan. Apart for the result which saw the Clan lose 4-0 to Cardiff Devils - I have to say I love the hockey. We had seats right at the very front so I had a great view right next to the ice. I shouted and cheered and danced when the music played. I loved watching the Zamboni re-ice the rink and I was even given a puck by the referee.
Saturday I wasn't too well again - I really can't shift this snotty cold thing. I was supposed to be going to see Granny and Grandpa and Auntie Tor and Uncle Chris and Tasha and Bebe and Santa, but we could go because the weather was so bad. That made me sad.
Yesterday I went to church at Denistoun with Mummy and Lottie. It was nice.

Today I woke up to even more snow! When will it stop? Daddy thinks that it is like Narnia and we have come under the rule of the wicked Ice Queen and it will be winter always. I thinks he forgets that I am on two and a half and I haven't a clue what he is talking about.
