My 21st (Month) Birthday
I'm sorry that I haven't blogged much this week but I've been a little poorly - not a lot poorly, just a little poorly - and I haven't been sleeping good. Daddy made up a song this week about me. He said: "If you ever see your sonny, with his nose all green and runny, never think it's funny 'cos it's not! ('cos it's snot!)" He thinks he's funny. Here's my week in brief. Monday I went to Parents and Toddlers then Auntie Gillian came round. Tuesday I didn't really do anything. Wednesday I went to see the midwife with Mummy - everything is OK. On Thursday Daddy took me swimming which was really great. Then came Friday!

Painting again!
Today has been good. Mummy and Daddy were both off work, so after a morning in the house we went out for lunch at Allan and Linda Dunlop's house. Auntie Gillian was there and she gave me my Christmas presents! I got a DVD and a teddy and in the box with the teddy I got a necklace! The necklace wasn't for me though, but was one that Auntie Gillian had lost before Christmas! This afternoon Uncle David came to play with my boy cousins Liam, Dylan and Robbie. It was great fun spending some time with them. When they left I watched my new favourite film - "Mary Poppins" and danced a little like Dick Van Dyke. I like the bit with the penguins best and also the bit with the chimney sweeps.

Happy Birthday Robbie!!!
Today is my cousin Robbie's Birthday. He's so cool. Yesterday, I went to his birthday party with my Mummy. Daddy couldn't come as he was at work. Happy Birthday Robbie!!! Today was a lovely and busy day. This morning I went to Parents and Toddlers with my Mummy and it was good as we sang songs and I played. Then I came home for some lunch - lovely pea and ham soup - and then Daddy and Mummy took me swimming. It was great! I jumped in from the side standing, slid in from sitting down (forwards and backwards!), and I even tried to slide in head first. I also splashed Mummy lots and lots. Then my friend Bobby (who went to summer school with me) got me the slide out. He's a life guard at the pool and he got the slide especially for me. I loved going down it with my hands in the air. When I got home I was so tired that I had to have a little sleep for a long time.
Yesterday I went to Gran and Papa's Salvation Army. It was nice to Auntie Rita and Liam there too. We went there because two lovely people called David and Florence were leading the service. They looked after Daddy when he first moved to Scotland.
Saturday night I was at another party with Mummy and her friend Joyce. Daddy was working again so missed out again. Poor Daddy. The party was great. I played with a little boy and a balloon and a bouncy ball. No wonder I'm tired!

Congratulations Auntie Cat and Uncle David!
After the wedding service, we all had to go to an old castle to have a some photographs taken. Lots of photos were taken and Daddy took lots of photos too. Then we went back to the hotel. There was a table with sweeties that I could have and I tried popping candy for the first time. It felt funny in my mouth. There was also a room with lots of balloons on the tables and in there we were given something to eat. I had chicken nuggets and chips, Daddy had beef and veg and Mummy chicken. It was all lovely.

Family Fun
Friday, 29 August 2008
This is my Uncle David. I like him as I have more hair than he does. I think he'd make a really good bad guy in a film (although it would have to be pretend as I think he's a softy really) - and I could be his "mini-me"! Auntie Catriona and he came to visit with my cousin Liam and they brought cake (which has kinda been the theme for the week). It was lovely to see them. I was sad though as Dylan and Robbie couldn't come with them - but maybe we'll be able to play next time.
