What Extra Hour?

Apparently we had an extra hour's sleep last night - where did it go? Mummy and Daddy kept me up late last night so that I still slept all the way through the night and I woke up at 7.00 as normal - despite the time change. Today we went to The Salvation Army as it was our songsters 90th anniversary! We had a big Songsters from Govan doing the services for the weekend and they were very good. I was good too, although I must admit I slept through most of this afternoon's service. I'm looking forward to this week as my Daddy is off work. That means lots of "playtime".

I know I've been really bad a posting on the blog this week, but I have been really busy. It's The Salvation Army's Annual Appeal and I've been out every night this week door-to-door collecting with Mummy and Daddy. (Well if the cap fits...) To be honest, I have slept through most of the collecting, apart from when I visited Auntie May (from Motherwell) and got to play with her big grandsons - I'm so pleased Mummy knocked on her door by mistake! I know that collecting can be very down-heartening when people do not want to make a donation, but this makes me think that perhaps The Salvation Army need to be doing more in the community. It does amaze me how generous people are on the whole.

!!!HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUNTIE GILLIAN!!!
Today is Auntie Gillian's birthday. She sits near me at church. We gave her a jam doughnut with a single candle on it - we couldn't fit the other 22 on. I supose that makes Auntie Gillian our Salvation Army Doughnut Girl!

This is a picture of me and my Great, Great Aunt Beth who came to visit me a few weeks ago. Great, Great, Aunt Beth used to work for General Eva Burrows who was General of The Salvation Army at one time. I had a lovely afternoon with her whilst my Mummy made Banana Loaf.
