If only...

Uncle 'Ickle Kevin and Auntie love-Leigh bought me lots of presents at Christmas. The one in the picture is for my room when I've decided which one I want and when it has been decorated. It's a pretend football report from a newspaper about me scoring a hat-trick in a cup final for Derby. If only it were true! I'm sad it's not real, especially at the moment as Derby are not doing well at all and Forest are doing great. Grandpa (G) is very unhappy.

I had my hair cut today so I no longer look like a girl and have a more boy-like cut. I needed to go as Daddy was still threatening to shave my head like his! Mummy took me this morning and I was very good whilst the ladies cut my hair. Then this afternoon Mummy's friends Blair and Gillian came to visit and for some lunch. It was nice to see them. This evening we had a night in as it's very chilly outside. Last night the water froze in the pipe that takes the water away from the bathroom sink but Daddy fixed it today by making a fire in our chimney thing outside and putting it under the pipe to warm it a little and then when the water started to flow he used the hot tap to melt the ice. He's a clever Daddy sometimes but then he lets himself down at other times - like when he thought it would be a good idea to hijack my bath! He forgot how good at splashing I am but I showed him. If that hadn't have worked I would have done a poo in the bath and he would have jumped out quick then.

Happy Birthday Aaryn!

This afternoon Mummy and Daddy took me to Aaryn's 1st birthday party. Aaryn's Mummy works with my Daddy. I had a lovely time and got a present just for going! How cool is that? I got animal shaped foam things for my bath. This morning I went with Mummy and Daddy and had some lunch at Frankie and Benny's. I had sausage and mash, but mostly I ate Mummy's meatballs! Mummy is working tonight so I had some "Daddy time" - which I like because I can often do things that Mummy wouldn't let me. I was playing with Daddy outside when I noticed there was a puddle on top of my sand-pit. I had great fun splashing in it and Daddy and I laughed a lot. I got very wet, so when we went in Daddy gave me a nice hot bath. Daddy makes the bath water deep - right up to my neck when I sit down. I think it's because it get bigger splashes when the water is that deep!

Wetter is better!

Today I didn't do much, but I am feeling so much better. I did go into town with Mummy to meet Auntie Jen, but Uncle Paul wasn't there. I did have Victoria Sponge Cake though - gudgudgud! When I got home I was surprised to see Daddy as I forgot he'd be home from work. As it is very chilly outside he had already started to get my bath ready with bubbles and ducks, including baquack Obama and everything a boy of 7 and a half months needs in a bath. I like bath time with Mummy, but I love bath time with Daddy! Somehow bath time with Daddy is wetter and I think it's better wetter!

Where's my bath water gone?

Tonight was bath night again! This morning I went to church with Mummy and Daddy and it was lovely to see everyone, especially my friend Douglas! This afternoon I was lazy and didn't do a lot, but this evening I had a lovely bath. I do enjoy my baths at the moment, so much so, that I didn't want to get out even after the bath water had gone. I convinced Daddy to let me stay in the bath a little longer and play even if there was no bath water. I think Daddy thinks it's safer this way anyway, not that he's concerned about me drowning as Mummy and Daddy watch me well, but it means he doesn't get as wet because I can't splash in an empty bath. I didn't mind these pictures being put on the blog, as you can't see my tinky-winky, but you can see Baquack Obama and Mummy Duckie and her three duckling's (although one's adopted).

Food on the Chin of the Week

Back after the Christmas break and a couple of days later in the week than usual it's Food on the Chin of the Week time! Can you guess what I've been eating this time - as ever, the answer will be at the bottom. I've kinda been a bit lost with my days this week. Going south mid-week felt like a weekend and with Mum's and Tot's and Boobie Group not starting until next week, I've lost all track. Yesterday I nearly did something newish. I shuffled forward on my bottom at least 6 inches to reach my shoe! I have been investing a lot of time into walking so I haven't really explored other means of getting around like rolling or crawling. Yesterday night Mummy went to see a musical with Auntie Rita so Daddy and me had the house to ourselves. I had a smashing bath - with really deep water (that I'm learning not to drink) and my new favourite USA Duck which Daddy calls Baquack Obama. Then I fell asleep after some Weetabix and milk until Mummy came home. Today I went with Mummy and had coffee with my cousin Liam, and Mummy's friends - Joyce and Sharon. We went to town, but it rained bad - so I was glad to get home. Answer: Custard

Thursday and Friday

Ok, so here's my news. Despite a full scale search in what seemed like every shop at the Fort my Teddy is still missing. I met Gran (N) for a drink and chatted with Niki-the-Starbucks-lady. That was all I did yesterday. Today I went on our daily trip to get our free Lego and then came home and spent some time with Mummy and Daddy. Daddy decided to give me another bath because my one on Wednesday wasn't fun. I have to admit that I whimpered a little when we entered the bathroom so Daddy put me in the empty bath whilst I was still dressed! He then slowly filled the bath with water and before I knew it the water was up to my baby-boobs. I liked my bath tonight, I played with ducky, moosey and penguin but baths are not going back on my favourite list just yet!

NOT My favourite thing

Baths are off my favourite list - I now hate them.
