Chillin' at home

This morning I went with Daddy to the shops and we went to have a cake and some milk in Starbucks. Mummy and Lottie stayed at home to do some gardening. When Daddy and me went into Starbucks we saw Jen (without Paul - by the way, have you checked out http://paulclementtrio.bandcamp.com yet?) and Katherine. We sat and chatted with them for a little and then we had to go home. In the car on the way home I fell asleep and when I woke up Uncle David had built up a tent in the garden!

I decided to try out Uncle David's tent and so I ate my wotsits in there. It was very warm. Later, Uncle David fetched Robbie and Dylan and Auntie Pop (I know it's really Auntie Cat, but I have been calling her 'Auntie Pop' all week because it is funny!) to come and see the tent and they stayed to play for a while. Later Katherine came round for a coffee and a chat - it was nice to see her twice in one day.

Yesterday, Uncle 'Ickle Kevin and Auntie Love-Leigh came to visit and I like it when they come to see us. We had Domino's pizza for tea and then watched the football on the telly. Uncle Kevin is so funny and played lots of games with me. We also had a game of football with Daddy in the a garden and I kept swapping sides, but in the end Daddy won 12-3 and Uncle 'Ickle Kevin was very sad.

Oh I do like to be beside the seaside!

I was so excited when I got up this morning and went into Mummy's room because Daddy was there! He was off work yesterday and I didn't think he would be off work again today so it was a surprise to see him. Yesterday was a nice day, we had a coffee with my hero Paul (have you checked out the Paul Clement Trio yet?), but mostly we did bits and bobs that needed doing. Today was a better day as today was officially a Play Day! Daddy decided that because it was sunny we would go and play at the seaside, so we packed up the car and went to the beach.
When we got there we had a little walk along the beach and then Daddy and I went for a paddle in the sea. I thought the sea would be a little chilly but it wasn't as cold as my paddling pool - in fact it was warm!

After our paddle we had chippies and a burger for lunch and sat on some grass to eat it like having a picnic (Lottie didn't have chippies and burger, she just had mulk). Then I got changed into my proper swimming suit and we hit the beach again. I chased Daddy in the sea but it's hard to run in water. I also practised my swimming a little. Then Mummy and me made some sand castles with my bucket and spade. We made lots and lots of them. I like building them, but I have found a good way to flatten them too - I sit on them and squash them! I had a lovely day at the seaside and I hope the weather is nice so that we can go again!

My first ever gig!

On Friday night Daddy and me had a boys night out and I went to my first ever gig! My hero and friend Paul was playing a gig at a cafe in the city and Daddy and me went to listen to him. I got all dressed up, put on some of Daddy's smelly stuff and even spiked my hair. It was a late night when we left the house as the gig didn't start til 8.30! I had a great time there, entertaining some ladies, and it's surprising how late you can stay up after eating a dozen Skittles and drinking a little Coca-cola!! A lady sang some songs first then Paul and his friends played some music. I loved the rocky tracks the best. We didn't leave the cafe until 10.30 and I fell asleep on the way home in the car. You can download Paul's music at: http://paulclementtrio.bandcamp.com

Weekend Catch Up - Sunday

Boy, the weather has been roasting! After my late night on Saturday we opted for a slower start to our Sunday. Mummy walked me and Charlotte (The sleeping one with the funny hat! Ha! Ha!) to Tescos and by the time we got home we were both sleeping. I did get chance for a quick play in the paddling pool before I had to get ready to go out. We didn't go to church this morning but had been invited to go to church this afternoon with Jen and Paul. We met them and some other people for a drink before going to church and I had a lovely time. After church there was a barbecue and I had a great time playing with the other children. It was so tiring though I fell asleep in the car on the way home!

Catch Up: 2 - My Dedication

My Dedication Service was great - apart from the fact that I missed the whole thing. As you can see from the picture, I was there, but I just slept through it all. Lots and lots of people came to my Dedication Service, lots of my family and lots of my friends - our church was nearly full! Allan and Linda (My Corps Officers) led everything through and my hero Paul and Jenn sang some songs, Uncle Chris (H) did the Dedication, Uncle 'Ickle Kevin was made my God-Father, the band played, the songsters sang, there was even cake afterwards, but I'm a little like my Mummy and by the end of the night I didn't enjoy being the centre of attention. It was very lovely - and I was given lots of lovely presents - and everyone was lovely, but there are only so many hugs a boy of 8 months can cope with! I was kinda glad to get home - and my girlfriend Amy came back with me for a little while! It was a perfect end to a perfect day.

Yesterday I went out for dinner with one of my heroes Paul and his wife Jen. Paul is a great guitarist and a real man of God which is why he is one of my heroes. We went to a great restuarant called Nandos - which would have been my middle name if my Daddy had got his own way. I am glad that Mummy went to the registry office with him to register my birth. When I was just three weeks old I accidentally tried the Nandos extra hot sauce - it made my eyes water but I didn't cry. It was really nice to spend time with Paul and Jen.
